What year did you start CrossFitting?

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I’ve always had a passion for fitness.  When i was younger I really wanted to OPEN a gym.  That passion grew even stronger when I finally found CrossFit.

Why did you become a trainer?

I love working with people and helping them improve.  Seeing people improve not only physically but mentally and spiritually as well.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Muscle Up

What is your favorite cheat food?

Meat Lovers Pizza, craft beer, wine

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wolverine- cause who wouldn’t want those super powers.

What year did you start CrossFitting?

2015

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I have always enjoyed fitness, working out, and being healthy overall.  I played sports growing up, but once I was out of sports, I was somewhat lost in gyms on what to do that kept me motivated and was also fun.  I did several different group fitness classes for a number of years, but found that I hit a plateau and became bored, because they didn’t vary much from class to class.  Then I began dating a CrossFit gym owner, so naturally, I just had to try it out…although it took me a few months to gather up the nerve!  But when I finally tried it, I was hooked!  I love how each work out is challenging and no two days are alike.  

Why did you become a trainer?

CrossFit has changed my life.  Being in my early 30’s, I have never felt healthier and more comfortable in my own skin.  My hope in becoming a coach, was to help empower as many people to become the best version of themselves as possible.  

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Squat Clean

What is your favorite cheat food?

Pizza or Mac & Cheese…or brownies…or wine 😉

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wonder Woman of course!!!  Who else?!

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I was living a pretty destructive lifestyle until I found CrossFit. I give a lot of credit to CrossFit and the community for helping me make a transition from a destructive lifestyle to a more healthy one.

Why did you become a trainer?

I know the power that CrossFit has to change lives. I simply wanted to play a role in helping people become better, more healthy, and more fit in their day to day lives. I consider it an honor to be able to work with athletes on a day to day basis and help them reach their goals.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

The Clean

What is your favorite cheat food?

Anything Fried

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Spider Man. I grew up reading SpiderMan comics and can relate the most to him.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I got into CrossFit because I am a police officer and the Head Explosive Breacher on Midland SWAT.  CrossFit has helped me deal with the stress and long, demanding hours of the job.

Why did you become a coach?

It is rewarding for me to see others get to their goals.

Pancakes with peanut butter and syrup… and Miller Light

Batman- he’s a normal guy.  He does it cause he knows crime is wrong.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I did competitive gymnastics my whole life and have always been involved in athletics.

Why did you become a trainer?

I enjoy helping others and love to see people achieve goals and become better at different skills.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Handstand walks or handstand push ups

What is your favorite cheat food?

Brownies and my moms homemade pizza! 

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Iron Man…because he is a normal guy but super smart!  He isn’t perfect, he is human!

  • Competed D1-Level Gymnastics at University of Anchorage Alaska on a full scholarship
  • Competed at the Club Gymnastics Level for eight years
  • After college was a head gymnastics coach for five years

WHAT YEAR DID YOU START CROSSFITTING?

2015

WHY DID YOU GET INTO FITNESS (AND CROSSFIT)?

I have always been a competitive athlete and after I got injured playing college football, I lost the drive to compete and stay fit.  I needed something that would challenge me both mentally and physically and allow me to compete with not just others, but myself.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A TRAINER?

I love seeing people accomplish things they didn’t think were possible.

I love running, being outdoors, and staying as active and healthy as I can.  Plus I love food too much not to work out!

I have always enjoyed helping others and if I can be a small part of helping them reach their goals…even better!

Mexican food, ice cream, or any form of chocolate!

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I grew up playing sports, so I guess you could say I’ve always loved fitness, staying active, and being competitive!  When I found CrossFit, I knew it was perfect for me! Joining RSCF was the best decision I’ve EVER made!

Why did you become a trainer?

I enjoy helping others and watching them reach their full potential, so I became a coach to help empower and push people to limits they didn’t know possible.
