Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I’ve always had a passion for fitness.  When i was younger I really wanted to open a gym.  That passion grew even stronger when I finally found CrossFit.

Why did you become a trainer?

I love working with people and helping them improve.  Seeing people improve not only physically but mentally and spiritually as well.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Muscle Up

What is your favorite cheat food?

Meat Lovers Pizza, craft beer, wine

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wolverine- cause who wouldn’t want those super powers.

What year did you start CrossFitting?

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I have always enjoyed fitness, working out, and being healthy overall.  I played sports growing up, but once I was out of sports, I was somewhat lost in gyms on what to do that kept me motivated and was also fun.  I did several different group fitness classes for a number of years, but found that I hit a plateau and became bored, because they didn’t vary much from class to class.  Then I began dating a CrossFit gym owner, so naturally, I just had to try it out…although it took me a few months to gather up the nerve!  But when I finally tried it, I was hooked!  I love how each work out is challenging and no two days are alike.  

Why did you become a trainer?

CrossFit has changed my life.  Being in my early 30’s, I have never felt healthier and more comfortable in my own skin.  My hope in becoming a coach, was to help empower as many people to become the best version of themselves as possible.  

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Squat Snatch

What is your favorite cheat food?

Pizza or Mac & Cheese…or brownies…or wine 😉

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wonder Woman of course!!!  Who else?!

Spiderman because he would be awesome at CrossFit.

I did competitive gymnastics my whole life and have always been involved in athletics.

Why did you become a trainer?

I enjoy helping others and love to see people achieve goals and become better at different skills.

Handstand walks or handstand push ups

What is your favorite cheat food?

Brownies and my moms homemade pizza! 

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Iron Man…because he is a normal guy but super smart!  He isn’t perfect, he is human!

How long have you been a Registered Dietitian?

Since 2015

Why did you decide to go into the field of nutrition?

I have always been intrigued by the role that food plays in the prevention of disease and optimal sport performance.  I have been an athlete for most of my life and when I decided to major in nutrition, it was a natural fit for me as it showed me how to teach people how to eat to fuel their bodies for optimal performance and longevity.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?

I would have to say it’s a close call between the power clean and the dumbbell snatch!

What is your favorite cheat food?

Give me all the cereal!  It’s my biggest food weakness.

What is your favorite super hero and why?

Hmm…does Deadpool count?!

What is your favorite thing about performance/sports nutrition?

Seeing the athlete not only meet their weight/health goals, but I love when they start to see HUGE results in their performance/WODs.  That is what it’s all about!
